Senya Nakazono

Senya’s musicianship is highly developed, reflecting both her natural talent and her lifelong dedication to music. She possesses perfect pitch and has cultivated her artistry since childhood, beginning violin at the age of seven and piano at ten. Over the past 30 years, she has performed extensively as a violinist, both as a soloist and within orchestras in US, Japan and China. Her artistry has also reached the public stage, including media recognition such as her televised performance on 6abc Philadelphia.

 

Senya thoroughly enjoys teaching. She has a kind demeanor and is eager to promote the skills of the students. She is respected by her students widely. Senya cherishes the lesson time and always strives for continued student progress.

 

Equally impressive is Senya’s breadth of experience. In addition to her music degree at MCCC, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Dalian Maritime University in China and worked for 20 years as a software systems engineer in Japan. This unique background speaks to her discipline, analytical skills, and ability to excel across multiple fields. Alongside her professional career, she has maintained an active role as a violinist, teacher of violin and viola for over a decade, and performer for more than 25 years.

Senya teaches violin and viola for Main Street Music and has experience working with students of all ages and ability levels.
