Ed McCabe

Ed McCabe teaches guitar, ukulele, mandolin and bass for Main Street Music. He is a dedicated and knowledgeable guitar instructor with more than 30 years of successful private lesson instruction experience. He has taught students of all ages and abilities throughout the years, formerly at Freehold Music/Toms River Music, and for the past decade at Ocean City Arts Center and Cygnus Creative Arts Center (Egg Harbor Twp.).
 
Ed has worked as a professional band guitarist through the years, performing with Borzoi, High Society, and Trilogy; and members of New York Rock Ensemble, E Street Band, South Side Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Steely Dan and many more. He studied jazz harmony with Vincent Corrao; worked as a session musician for Lifesong Records in NYC; worked with producers Bruce Tergeson (Cream), Tom Dowd (Allman Bros.), and Cashman & West (Jim Croce).

Ed teaches a wide range of styles including rock, jazz, contemporary, and acoustic. He provides individual instruction for all ages and levels. Ukulele, mandolin and bass also taught. He features personalized lesson plans including song charts of student’s own choosing. All acoustic and electric styles taught including music theory and notation.
